Rams at Dolphins: Win/loss predictions for Week 8

The Los Angeles Rams (5-2) once again head (way) east, taking on the Miami Dolphins (3-3) in Week 8. Are you aware of just how poorly the Rams have played against the Dolphins dating back to the early 1970's? Despite not facing one another many times over the years, the Dolphins hold a commanding (11-2) all-time series lead. They've also won 10 of the last 11 against the Rams. Gross.

Will the Rams flip the script with their cross-country trip this weekend, securing their first win against Miami since 2001? The BTH crew make their predictions...

What time is it? Well, it’s not Tua time. Just because his name sounds good with the word “time,” that doesn’t mean he’s the master of clocks or whatever. Let’s just see how the Rams welcome him into the league with a defense that has been playing fierce as of late.

Prediction: Rams win, 38-6

Miami has been playing well, and I don’t think it’s as easy a win as some might think. However, the defense has been playing so well that it’s hard to bet against them. As long as McVay continues to utilize Hendo, I think the team will continue to be in a lot of games.

Prediction: Rams win, 27-10

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is a great movie and but it's also a device used by horribly unfunny people in social conversations.

Oh, what’s that? You’re an aspiring comedian? Pet Detective is your favorite movie, huh? No kidding? And here comes the butt impression in the middle of this bonfire of 30-somethings. Excellent. I’m sure your big break will come soon. Just keep bombing at open mics and posting black and white photos to Instagram with captions about how comedians are modern-day philosophers.

Prediction: Rams win, 65-20

Rams travel to Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins. Tua Time is thrashing through South Beach, with the native Hawaiian set to take his first start. While I wish him the best of luck with his career, I hope it has a horrid start. Hopefully the Rams front seven can maintain that pressure it created against Chicago. I hope Jalen Ramsey & the secondary can suffocate Tua’s receivers. On the offensive side, I’d love to see RB Darrell Henderson break the century mark in terms of rushing yards, and QB Jared Goff have an efficient game.

That, I am sure, will suffice for a victory.

Prediction: Rams win, 27-13

Soft? Aaron Donald got called soft. It happened. 10 pressures then ensued. A bear got woke last week, but his den isn’t in Chicago. Now a fresh young cub who lives on a beach, gets his shot at the king of the Forrest. Rams bring the vice grips

Prediction: Rams win, 24-9

Everything about this game seems like a layup. Rookie QB making debut start, inferior opponent, Rams rolling on defense...so this game probably defies logic and Rams find themselves in a dogfight. We’ll see if the bye week helps Miami pull off an upset but I don’t think so.

Prediction: Rams win, 23-16

The Rams are very good. The Dolphins are average. That is all.

Prediction: Rams win, 27-17

The Dolphins have a a pretty good pass defense, but are not as strong against the run. Time to feed Hendo, and then sit back and watch a rookie QB make his first professional start against Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. Yeah, good luck with that.

Prediction: Rams win, 27-10

I referenced how poorly the Rams have faired against the Dolphins in the intro, but honestly I don't care. The Rams are the superior team and that should be made evident this Sunday. A rookie QB running for his life from Aaron Donald. The league's No. 1 (DVOA) rushing offense vs. the 32nd ranked run defense. Gimme the boys in blue.

Prediction: Rams win, 27-13

Staff pick summary: 10 picks for the Rams, 0 picks for the Dolphins
