Rams at Buccaneers: Win/loss predictions for Week 11

Updated: Nov 21, 2020

It's been a bit of a roller coaster week in the NFC West standings. This past Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks (7-3) slipped out of first place after losing to the Los Angeles Rams (6-3) at SoFi by a score of 23-16. Across town, the Arizona Cardinals (6-4) slid into first place in epic fashion on a last-second Hail Mary from Kyler Murray to DeAndre Hopkins.

And in a matter of days, that's all changed. Seattle bounced back quickly in Thursday night's matchup against Arizona and have reclaimed the lead atop the West. But that could change again if the Rams are able to make another coast-to-coast trip and best the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3) on Monday Night Football in Week 11.

As the regular season inches towards its close, every game is critical for the Rams -- and that goes for the rest of their divisional opponents, as well. Can the Rams put it all together against a very tough Bucs squad in another prime time contest and claim first place in the West?

Both teams are gonna hope to wilt each other's QB with some serious heat, and honestly it could go either way. I'll give Tampa the edge this week due the Rams traveling cross country with Noteboom stepping in for Whit. Its not hard to imagine Shaq and JPP pressuring Jared Goff with McVay abandoning the run against a defense that has surrendered the fewest rushing yards in the league...that or the Rams will smack Brady and leave Tampa as one of the NFCs elite.

Prediction: Bucs win, 27-20

Fuck Tom Brady in his stupid pie-hole. I don’t hate him because he’s good, but because he’s a whiny dick. The Rams have to win this game to avenge Ol’ AW.

Prediction: Rams win, 38-34

Dearest readers. I’m 1-3 in my recent predictions, which is also the amount of interceptions I predict will be thrown in the Monday Night game against the Bucs. Also, the amount of carries Cam Akers will have in the game. Even though Tom Brady has snowbird-ed his way down to the strip club capital of the US, I cannot for the life of me ever predict that human sludge-pile will win the game. As such, I predict the Rams will win 26 to 20. These are my words, and I have spoken.

Prediction: Rams win, 26-20

The Bucs are confusing as hell because they’ve been great and awful, like, every other game.

I can’t make an accurate prediction of the game but I will predict the game will suck because it’s being played on Monday Night. MNF is always bad. Always. Yet, like a dead Bernie, everyone is going to keep propping it up because it’s THE best night of the week.

A kick to my groin is more exciting than MNF because at least I’ll feel something.

Prediction: Rams 6, Florida Patriots 3

The Los Angeles Rams showed up in full force last week against Seattle. The offense was ticking and the defense was absolutely ridiculous.

Let’s keep those highs going as we move towards Monday Night! If the defense can be as disruptive against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs, then things should look bright for the LA squad. Offensively, Goff will need to avoid the turnovers, like last week. It’ll be a tough task against a sharp TB secondary. It might be smart to run Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson early and often to open up some windows for Jared & Co.

Prediction: Rams win, 27-17

I love it when I’m wrong. Offense still leaving a lot of meat on the bone and here comes a good defense. Tough one on the road

Prediction: Bucs win, 20-17

The last two games have been polar opposites for the Rams. After getting embarrassed in Miami, they returned from the bye week with a resounding win over the Seahawks. The Rams return to primetime to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on Monday with an opportunity to show the football world which of those teams is their true identity. Even without my rose colored glasses on, I like the Rams chances - especially the Rams defense. They're playing at a championship level and have been a steady force this season. Aaron Donald makes the difference in another Rams win.

Prediction: Rams win, 24-20

I think the Rams are going to struggle to run the ball offensively as Tampa is very stout up front and are one of the best run defense's in football. Knowing that, I think it may knock the Rams off course a little bit offensively, but they should still be able to make it a very close contest on the back of epic performances from Cooper Kupp and a defense that proves to be opportunistic once again.

Prediction: Bucs win, 31-28

Fresh off their beating of the hated Seahawks, the Rams have to fly across the country for the 5th time this season.

I’m not going to get too deep here. The Rams offense concerns me, and that’s before even mentioning the kicking game. All told, they are consistently leaving points on the table, which is why I am going to be that guy..

Prediction: Bucs win, 24-20 (3 TD's and a missed XP)

I always get very nervous about the Rams in primetime games, because I never know which team I'm going to get -- the team who can beat anyone or the team has pundits saying "told ya so" on Monday morning. Their ability to win against the Bucs in Week 11 will rely heavily on the Rams' defense and their ability to get Brady off his game. And for some reason I have a gut feeling that they will. Here's to seeing a pair of back-to-back statement games.

Prediction: Rams win, 24-20

Staff pick summary: 7 picks for the Rams, 5 picks for the Bucs
